MOVING TO A NEW BLOG

Hi zombabies! Just giving you a heads up that there will be no more upcoming posts on this blog, because I'll be moving all the posts to my new blog, same interface just a different name and concept.

CHECK IT OUT!

Easy and Wearable Luna Inspired Halloween Makeup From Sailor moon

Welcome back to D&D zombabies! Anyone else is excited for Halloween? Well I am! We rarely celebrate Halloween but  I sure love to dress up for it! I've been creating makeup looks lately if you have seen my instagram (@doomanddaisiesmakeup) and because it's October, the spooky month, why not make something that's gonna incorporate the time of the year. So, I decided to start of with something really easy and wearable. I chose to create a look inspired by the black cat from Sailor Moon, named Luna.

This is easy to make especially if you do not have much time to think of a costume anymore, and to be honest you can also use this look for a music festival or something similar.

I just did my usual makeup foundation routine and set everything with a translucent powder, then I went off and do my eyebrows, nothing really special, just do your normal brows. Then I started with the eyeshadow, since I'm using dark colors I suggest to do the eyes first but if you don't wanna do it that way and want to have a smooth canvass first, I recommend to always tap the eyeshadow brush before applying the product onto your eyelids to avoid excessive fall outs.

Luna Inspired Makeup

As usual, start with a base color for the eyeshadow, using a color that's closest to your skin tone, then start building up the browns on the outer corner including the crease. Apply a red eyeshadow over it blending with the brown and a black eyeshadow over the red and blend it as you go. The more red and black you put on your eyelids, the more intense the smokey eye will look. Moving on, apply a shimmery silver from the inner corner to the center of your lids and blend it with the rest of the eye makeup. Don't forget to put some of the same black and red eyeshadow on the outer corner of your lower eyelid, then apply the same shimmery silver on the inner corner of your lower lid.

Create your usual cat eye with a black eyeliner pen, I find it easier to use a brush tip eyeliner pen but a felt tip will do the work too. Proceed to curling your eyelashes and apply a coat or two of your favorite mascara, you can of course add a pair of falsies if you like for a more dramatic look, but if you want to tone it down a bit, skip the falsies like I did.

For the moon and dots on my forehead, I started drawing with an eyeliner pencil first and top it with an eyeliner pen in black, to erase mistakes, I used my concealer on a small angled eyeliner brush.

Finish the look with your usual contour and highlight, don't forget the inner corner of your eyes, and use any dark lipstick you own. Could be dark red, dark purple, plum or black. I have no black lippie available so I just used my red one.

Set everything with a setting spray and your all set!

To add more to the look, part your hair in the middle or side, depends on you, then put the upper half into a mini space buns on both sides, if you can make horns or cat ears with your hair, it'll look so much better.

Review: Nichido Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray

Welcome back zombabies! I'm officially broke now haha! I went out to the mall this afternoon to get some stuff I could use for my makeup portfolio. One of them is this newly released matte finish setting spray by Nichido. I'm very intrigued because for so many years, they finally launched one for a very affordable price of P288.00. This is probably the most affordable setting spray I've ever seen! I know you guys are very excited for this verdict so here it goes!

Just to let you know, I was wearing a very minimal amount of foundation, no concealer and the primer that I'm using isn't the best one out there, it's just the one from LOL (Lots of Love) a drugstore brand here in the Philippines. It did not claim to mattify my face or anything. So, the result will probably change if I use a different primer especially an oil control or mattifying primer.

Alright let's go to the photos!

Excuse my messy hair, I just got home in that photo.

The discoloration was caused by my primer and also due to being out for hours before I made this review.

The setting spray really did mattify my face and made my makeup stick on to my face to make it last longer.

After 3 to 4 hours of wearing it on my face, this how it looked like.

The rest of my face it still matte except for the one on my nose area where the most discoloration occurred which again is understandable because of the primer. It also lifted my foundation off instead of blending it with my skin oil and it made the foundation settle on my fine lines. I have a combination skin too.

In my opinion I think this setting spray is worth it for it's price. It did a very good job to be honest. I am not sure if this is going to work with very oily skin but if you have the same one as mine, then this setting spray is definitely worth checking out.

Verdict!
Packaging : 4 / 5, it's in a black bottle with the usual spray nozzle, it definitely looks like Nyx but also the other drugstore setting sprays I've seen like BYS.
Longetivity: 4.5 / 5, Wore it for 3-4 hours and my face is still matte except for my nose area considering I did not use a very good primer, I believe this is going to last even longer if I used a mattifying primer or the ones that are supposed to "erase  the pores".
Stickiness: 0 / 5, No stickiness, it's just that the mist isn't that fine like other setting sprays but it's still the bomb for it's price.
Heaviness: 0 / 5, Very lightweight, tho it does not dry quickly, probably a minute.

Am I going to buy it again? Definitely! it only costs P288.00, it's a good rip off for a setting spray!

Would I recommend it? Yes! Go grab yours now! I have nothing else to say just go and buy one. <3

Disclaimer: This is based on my experience, the results might differ depending on your skin type, as always.

That's it for my Nichido Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray review! I hope you liked it and see you guys on my next post!

Review: Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Adoring Love (P103)

Another lipstick review for my zombabies! I got this new lippie from a friend of mine, Mitch, (@strawberrycassy on Instagram) since I've been urging to try a new lippie. So I decided to buy and avail their promo, basically 2 for P380.00. I got this Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Adoring Love and Superb Wine. Here, I'm gonna show you how it looks like on me and I will be making a separate post on the Superb Wine lippie.

So, here it is!

(The classic black lipstick tube.)

Here's the look I did for the Adoring Love! I just did a subtle smokey eye with shimmery shadow and a hint of gold on the eyes.  How was it?

Verdict:
Color Pay-off: 4.5 / 5, it glides on smoothly and evenly giving a very nice color on the lips.
Packaging : 4 / 5, the classic black lipstick tube yet chic and classy.
Longetivity: 3.5 / 5, It stayed pretty well in my opinion. I wore it for 3-4 hours and had some dinner. It had some fading around the inner part of my lip but nonetheless, it's decent.
Stickiness: 0 / 5, It's not sticky AT ALL. It's very moisturizing too and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a lipstick.
Heaviness: 0 / 5, It's very lightweight, I almost forgot I'm wearing one.

Am I going to buy it again? Of course! I got 2 for P380.00, (Update! Thanks Mitch!) P399.00 each, I wouldn't think twice to buy another if I get to like more shades.

Would I recommend it? Yes! Definitely, for those who wants to try out this Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick, go grab yours now and you won't regret it.

All done! I hope you enjoyed my review for Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Adoring Love. Thank you so much for stopping by and see you guys in my next posts!

Review: Careline Wallflower "Better Than Basic" Matte Liquid Lipstick

Welcome to my very first post on this new blog that I made. I decided to make a separate blog where I can talk about products, reviews, movies, fashion, basically anything that I am pretty much interested in.

So, me and my sister went to the mall last weekend to get some stuff for her travel this coming Saturday. My sis decided to get a new lipstick and mascara for herself. Luckily there was a  buy one take one promo and I got a free lippie. I looked over the color swatches and of course the weirdo in me took over and decided to get this grey lippie. It's not intimidating in my opinion. It's a color I've always wanted to try on me. There I found this matte liquid lipstick which in my opinion isn't that bad for the price.

I tried it on yesterday but I am only able to  do it at night for 4 hours since I wasn't feeling very well. But here's the photos I took of me wearing it.

Verdict:
Color Pay-off: 4 / 5, needs 2 coats to even out the color.
Packaging : 4 / 5, just the usual tube with fuzzy sponge tip applicator ( well, that's how I call it.)
Longetivity: 4 / 5, I think this is pretty decent knowing that I wore it for 4 hours, I had a few drinks from my water bottle, I ate some sweets, and been talking a lot.
Stickiness: 3 / 5, this is my most concern, the lippie dries pretty decent on my lip but even after it dries to set the color, it still felt sticky. I had to put a translucent powder over it to cancel out the stickiness, I'm not that sure if it's fair for a 195.00 lip product but I hope they can work on it since I'm pretty confident that the product did a very good job for it's price.
Heaviness: 3 / 5, it feels just as most lipstick.

Am I going to buy it again? Sure, why not! This is also available in most drugstores so it's pretty easy to get.

Would I recommend it? Of course especially for people who are usually in a budget. It's not that bad, just make sure to put a translucent powder over it to cancel out the stickiness. Still, I think it's a nice try for this makeup line.

There you go guys! I hope you liked my review on Careline's Better Than Basic in Wallflower. I hope this helps and see you guys on my next post!
